WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO DIVE IN ANILAO? |
|
Anilao is definitely a great dive community year-around,especially for underwater photography. Other than the relatively rare typhoon, little gets in the way of a great adventure. Anilao area is a wide peninsula with an alternate transportation routes to and from the mainland of Luzon. Even when weather is not ideal, we can find tranquil for scuba. The summer months of March to April (when Filipino schools are on recess) are excellent for scuba diving. However, December and January are also high peak season with water temp dipping down to as low as 23 degrees C. Ironically, the monsoon season July to October often has the best underwater visibility due to the constant exchange of water that clears suspended particles, jelly fish and plankton. |
VISIBILITY & TEMPERATURE:The underwater visibility in Anilao is generally good throughout the year, although June through September can be affected by the rainy season. In case of marginal visibility, there are alternative dive sites across the island where visibility can reach up to 25-40 m (80-120 ft). Outside air temperatures range from 25 -29 C (77-84 F).
